Geert van de Wielle

Geert Van de Wielle is an accomplished Chief Information Security Officer with extensive experience in information security management. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Worldline Global since July 2020, Geert previously held the position of Group Chief Information Security Officer at Akka Technologies from December 2017 to July 2020. Prior to that, Geert was Chief Information Security Officer at CFE from May 2002 to November 2017, and also served in various IT roles including IT Security Manager and Messaging & Collaboration Manager. Geert began a career in the IT sector with positions as a Lotus Notes Administrator at Ariane II and CTG, and as an IT Systems Engineer at Nynas AB, after starting as an IT Support Engineer at Sidmar. Geert holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from HOGENT and has pursued additional education at Firebrand Academy and Amelior.
