Umut Kundukan

Umut Kundukan has extensive work experience in the field of Java development. Umut currently works at Worldline as a Principal Java & Kafka Engineer, where they are responsible for migrating legacy systems to a Kafka-based realtime distribution system. Umut has made significant contributions to the development and improvement of various functionalities, including modernizing the tech stack, introducing Spring Kafka solutions, and automating database deployments using Liquibase. Umut's technical skills include Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Jenkins, Gitlab, and more.

Prior to their current role, Umut founded their own company, SmartBlue S.S., and also worked at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as a Lead Java Developer, where they were involved in maintaining and migrating booking application functionalities using Java and Kotlin. Umut has experience with the Agile development approach and has worked with technologies such as OpenAPI and Amadeus GDS.

Umut has also worked as a Java Software Consultant at WAES, where they worked on the maintenance of a Customer Data Management application. Umut has experience with Java 8, Spring Framework, Hibernate, SQL, and other related technologies.

Before their time at WAES, Umut worked at Turkcell Technology as a Lead Java Developer, where they led the development of the MAYA CRM application used by various Turkcell stakeholders. Umut has experience with Java technologies and working with large-scale applications.

Prior to that, Umut worked as a Senior Java Developer at MAGNET DIGITAL, where they worked on a city-based social network project. Umut has experience with JEE, Spring Framework, RESTful, and other related technologies.

Umut also has experience as a Senior Java Developer at Sampas, where they worked on the development of the AKOS project, an Intelligent Cities Automation System. Umut has experience with SOA, Java, and JEE tools and technologies.

Early in their career, Umut worked at Mira Telecommunication and 5M, where they gained experience as a Java Developer. At Mira Telecommunication, they worked on the development of a social network application and a dynamic bonus earning and spending infrastructure. At 5M, they worked on the development of a Learning Management System and a virtual class application.

Umut Kundukan completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Kocaeli University from 2002 to 2008.
