Outreach Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project

David Mynett has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. David'smost recent position was with the Wounded Warrior Project, where they held multiple roles. From April 2012 to September 2016, they served as a Resource Center Specialist, providing essential resources and referrals to wounded warriors and their families. From April 2014 to September 2016, they also worked as a Soldier Ride Recruitment Specialist, recruiting wounded warriors for adaptive cycling events and building community relationships. Starting in September 2016, David became a Physical Health and Wellness Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project, organizing physical health and wellness clinics to improve the well-being of wounded warriors. In August 2018, they transitioned to the role of Adaptive Sports Manager, leading and managing a team that delivered adaptive sports clinics. David ensured the clinics accommodated wounded warriors with different levels of functioning and visual impairments. In July 2020, they took on the role of Outreach Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project.

Prior to their time at the Wounded Warrior Project, David worked at Al Shaeen Adventure as a Training Manager from August 2009 to February 2011. David managed a training team delivering military, police, and leadership training in UAE state schools. David also traveled extensively throughout the UAE and Oman.

Earlier in their career, David served in the Royal Navy, holding various roles from 1985 to 2009. These included being a Non-Commissioned Officer - Physical Training Instructor from February 1985 to June 2004. David then became a Training Manager - Sub Aqua & Powerboat Instructor from March 2004 to January 2006, and later a Training Manager - Non-Commissioned Officer in the Royal Navy from January 2006 to August 2009.

Overall, David Mynett has significant experience in training and management roles, particularly focused on supporting and empowering wounded warriors and promoting physical health and wellness.

David Mynett completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Education and Training from the University of Plymouth from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Massage Therapy from Florida Health in June 2011.
