Gal Shulkind

Gal Shulkind started their work experience in 2006 as a Research and Development Engineer at the Ministry of Defence, where they worked until 2011. In 2014, they worked as a Research Intern at Schlumberger, and in 2015, they had a similar role at MERL. In 2016, they worked as a Research Intern at IBM. Gal then joined Lyft in 2018 as a Software Engineer and remained in that role until 2021. Currently, Gal is a Staff Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings, where they are the Tech lead Manager for On Board Perception Architecture.

Gal Shulkind completed a B.Sc. and B.A. in Electrical Engineering and Physics at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006. From 2008 to 2012, Gal pursued an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the same institution. Lastly, Gal went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing the program between 2013 and 2018.
