Karim Shaban

Karim Shaban's work experience begins in 2011 when they worked as a Junior Teaching Assistant at the German University in Cairo. In 2013, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Trustious. In 2014, they worked as a Research Student at Fortiss. In 2015, they founded their own company called Orvich. In 2016, they held multiple roles including NLP Researcher at Roboy, Computer Vision Engineer at NavVis, and Perception Lead at TUfast e.V. Racing Team, where they led the perception team in designing a visual SLAM system for autonomous racing cars. In 2017, they worked as a Research Engineer at Blue Vision Labs. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Lyft as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. Since 2021, they have been working at Woven by Toyota, starting as a Senior Software Engineer and then progressing to the role of Technical Lead.

Karim Shaban obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The German University in Cairo from 2010 to 2015. Karim later pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Technical University of Munich, which they completed from 2015 to 2018.
