Richard Tarczaly

Richard Tarczaly has extensive work experience in various leadership and engineering roles. Richard is currently working as a Software Engineering Lead at Woven by Toyota since April 2023. Before that, they served as the Head of Data and Group Deputy CDO at Galaxy FinX from June 2022 to February 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Data, ML Engineering & Delivery, Senior Director, Chief Data Office at Techcombank (TCB) from October 2020 to April 2022.

Richard played a significant role in establishing the data office at Techcombank, where they co-founded a team of 250 employees and developed a 5-year data-enablement strategy. Richard successfully raised $64 million in funding to implement a hybrid data lake-house architecture. Before Techcombank, Richard worked at SCB - Siam Commercial Bank as a Principal Engineering Manager, FSVP, Chief Data Office from May 2020 to October 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager and Development Manager & Tech Panel at Agoda from December 2016 to May 2020, where they led various teams and developed services related to real-time performance monitoring, anomaly detection, and recommendations.

Richard also gained valuable experience at Samsung Electronics America as a Manager, Software Engineering (R&D) from January 2015 to November 2016. In this role, they managed a team responsible for developing a recommendations engine for Smart TVs and provided technical leadership and guidance to other teams.

Earlier in their career, Richard co-founded SoukAppeal Ltd., where they served as the Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer.
