Savion Ragster

Savion Ragster has a diverse work experience in engineering and education. Savion is currently working as a Prototyping and Validation Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings, specifically for Renovo, a Woven Planet Company. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2021, Savion worked at Renovo.auto, where they held multiple roles. As a Validation and Prototyping Engineer, they were responsible for testing and validating software, data analysis, and writing code in Python and SQL. Savion also worked as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed and manufactured mechanical components for autonomous vehicles and maintained a fleet of 3D printers. Additionally, Savion worked as a Mechanical Engineering Technician in the same company.

Before their time at Renovo.auto, Savion worked as a Prototype Automotive Engineer at Drako Motors in 2016. In this role, they designed and 3D modeled various components for an electric hypercar and oversaw quality control of battery module manufacturing.

Furthermore, Savion was part of the Senior Mechanical Design Team at UCSC Formula SAE from 2015 to 2016. Savion conceptualized, 3D modeled, and manufactured lightweight components for an electric race car. This involved conducting FEA verification and utilizing waterjet, mill, 3D printing, and TIG welding processes.

Outside of the engineering field, Savion also gained experience as a Mathematics Tutor at WyzAnt Tutoring from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Teacher at Activate Camp in 2015, where they wrote and presented STEM lectures and provided guidance to underprivileged students.

Savion Ragster obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Applied Mathematics and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2013, Savion attended Sacramento City College where they studied Mathematics and Psychology. In 2021, Savion completed the AI Programming with Python Nanodegree at Udacity.
