Viktor Yarmolenko

Viktor Yarmolenko's work experience begins in 2002 as a Video Distribution Engineer at CHAMELEON TELEVISION LIMITED. Viktor then worked as a Consultant and Research Assistant at The University of Glasgow from 2003 to 2005, where they contributed to monitoring distributed clusters and worked on grid parallelization of algorithms. In 2006, they joined the CoreGRID Network of Excellence as a Research Associate. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Software Development Consultant at Enterprizer Technologies Limited, assisting with software package development and porting applications to a distributed/www environment. At The University of Manchester, from 2005 to 2009, they served as a Research Associate and contributed to the development of techniques and systems for resource sharing on the Grid. Viktor has published several refereed publications in this field. From 2008 to 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer Technical Consultant at Assessment21, focusing on improving software usability and resolving bugs. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Wood. Viktor then joined WANdisco from 2012 to 2015, in the same role. At BBC, they began working in 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in TV platforms and apps. Viktor was responsible for various projects such as BBC Red Button, BBC Sounds, BBC Sport, BBC News, and BBC iPlayer. Viktor also had experience with data transformation and aggregation using technologies such as GraphQL, REST, XML, JSON, and queueing. In 2022, they joined Woven by Toyota as a Senior Software Engineer.

Viktor Yarmolenko's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics, which they obtained from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv between 1993 and 1997.
