Wen-Haw Liao

Wen-Haw Liao has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and engineering. Wen-Haw currently holds the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings, starting in April 2022.

Prior to their current role, Liao worked at Linker Networks Inc. from March 2019 to February 2022. During their time there, they served as a Data Science Manager, leading a team of 4 members with different roles. Wen-Haw'sresponsibilities included designing and implementing an image ETL pipeline based on embeddings, developing a model-auto-retraining/deploying system for their surveillance system, and leading the implementation of object relation, ReID, and self-supervised embedding models. Wen-Haw also worked as a Data Scientist at Linker Networks Inc. from March 2019 to January 2021, where they proposed and developed models to solve cutting-edge computer vision problems. Wen-Haw'sachievements include designing and implementing a monocular 3D object detection model, hosting a labeling project with 1.5 million images, and collaborating with the infrastructure team to implement a FaaS inference infrastructure.

Before joining Linker Networks Inc., Liao worked at 明觉科技 Data Enlighten as a Data Scientist from January 2018 to January 2019. Wen-Haw started their career as a Software Engineer at Gorilla Technology Group in October 2014, where they worked until August 2017.

From 2012 to 2014, Wen-Haw Liao attended National Central University and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science.
