Mike Otieno has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. In 2012, they worked as an Assistant to the Chairman at AITEC Africa. From 2013 to 2014, they served as the Regional Team Leader at the same company, managing a team of 20 staff and organizing major conferences and trade shows across Africa. In 2014, they became a Senior Associate at Evidence Action, where they worked on a high-profile presidential initiative. From 2015 to 2017, they took on the role of Brand Ambassador at Uber, helping to evolve the way people move in cities. During the same period, they also worked as a Program Coordinator at McKinsey Social Initiative, overseeing the design and implementation of the Generation Program in multiple countries. Starting from 2016, they worked as a Strategy Consultant at Palladium, where they helped develop strategies and implement solutions to generate lasting social, environmental, and financial benefits. In 2016, they also became the Consul Business and Networking Nairobi at InterNations, leading the Professional Networking Group and organizing events to expose expatriate members to business opportunities in Kenya. Finally, in 2019, they co-founded Wowzi and took on the role of Co-Founder & President.
Mike Otieno attended Upper Hill High School from 2002 to 2006. After completing high school, they enrolled at Moi University from 2008 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Business Management degree with a specialization in Business Information Systems.
