Sarah Chapman

Trustee at WRAP

Sarah Chapman is the current Trustee at WRAP and was previously the CEO and Co-founder of Faro Energy. Sarah has also worked with the New Climate Economy Project and Climate Bridge.

Sarah has always been passionate about environmental work and making a difference. In 2010, they started working with Climate Bridge where they were eventually promoted to Head of Business Development in Australasia. After three years, Sarah moved on to the New Climate Economy Project where they served as Chief of Staff for one year. In September 2014, the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate released "Better Growth, Better Climate: The New Climate Economy Report".

In October 2014, Sarah co-founded Faro Energy and served as its CEO until February 2020 when it was sold to the Modern Energy Group. Faro Energy is a distributed solar energy company that operates in Latin America, primarily Brazil. Under Sarah's leadership, Faro became the first company to issue a Green Bond for Brazilian solar in 2018, and the first Sustainable Bond (both climate and social impact) in Brazil in 2020.

Sarah is proud of their work at Faro Energy and is excited to see what they can accomplish at WRAP.

Sarah Chapman attended the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Master of Mathematics and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics (Part III). Sarah specialized in fluid dynamics and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in mathematics and theoretical physics.
