Mary Olurin

Mary Olurin has over 12 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mary began their career in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant at Clearwater Builders. In 2013, they joined Kemp, Elliott & Blair LLP as a Junior Accountant, where they were part of the audit team on several financial statement audits and prepared a multitude of Compilation and Review Engagements for private corporations. Mary also prepared personal, corporate, and charity tax returns. In 2015, they returned to Kemp, Elliott & Blair LLP in the same role. In 2016, they joined JS Redpath Limited as a Domestic Finance Student, where they assisted with preparing IFRS financial statements and quarterly packages for presentation to shareholders. Mary also performed month-end close reconciliations of all income statement, balance sheet and fixed asset ledger accounts, and processed government remittances for sales tax and corporate income tax installments. In 2018, Mary joined invěk brands as an Accounting Manager, where they performed full-cycle financial accounting duties in adherence with ASPE (Toronto) and US GAAP (New York) including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, financial reporting and financial analysis. Mary also implemented month-end, quarterly and year-end reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information for presentation to agency partners. In 2022, Mary joined Wrk as a Senior Accountant and Monday Girl as a Social Club Member.

Mary Olurin is currently a CPA Candidate with Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration - Honours degree in Accounting from Nipissing University between 2014 and 2018.
