Scott Flannigan

Scott Flannigan has a diverse work experience in the field of news and media. Scott most recently worked as a News Director at WSLS 10 starting in March 2023. Prior to that, in 2023, they served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

From 2021 to 2023, Scott held the position of News Director at the News-Press & Gazette Company. Before that, they worked at Meredith Corporation as a News Director from 2014 to 2021. Scott also worked at Media General as the Director of Digital Journalism from 2010 to 2014.

In their earlier years, Scott held the position of News Director at Raycom Media from 2006 to 2010. Scott also worked at NBC News, where they served as an Assignment Manager from 2004 to 2006 and as a Managing Editor from 2002 to 2004. From 1996 to 2002, they worked as an Assignment Manager at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham.

Scott Flannigan completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Auburn University in 1994. Additionally, they completed a program called Carole Kneeland Project in 2007; however, no specific degree or field of study was provided for this program.
