Gerrie le Roux

Gerrie Le Roux is a highly experienced Principal Tailings Engineer with extensive expertise in tailings management and geotechnical engineering. Currently serving as Principal Tailings Engineer at WSP since January 2023, Gerrie previously held significant roles at Golder Associates, including Group Leader of Mine Waste (Australia) and Principal Tailings Engineer. Prior experience includes a tenure at BHP Billiton Nickel West as Discipline Leader and Closure Technical Lead, where responsibilities encompassed project management and compliance in tailings storage facility development. Earlier positions include management of the Tailings Group at GHD, tailings engineering roles at Metago, and Principal Tailings Engineer at SRK Consulting. Gerrie holds a Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, attained from 1989 to 1992.
