Chris Kopel's work experience begins in 2013 when they worked as a Data Consultant for Breckenridge Grand Vacations until 2014. In 2015, they served as a Finance Intern at Innovest Portfolio Solutions. Chris then joined S&P Global (Standard & Poor's) as a Senior Data Researcher from December 2016 to November 2017.

Starting in November 2017, Chris worked at Evolve Vacation Rental, initially as a Data Analyst. During this role, they played a crucial part in building the Analytics team and establishing best data practices at the company. Chris also regularly met with teams to gather and create KPIs and designed the first reports and dashboards for managers. From November 2018 to August 2019, they served as a Senior Data Analyst, providing management and leadership with data-driven insights and maintaining and modifying the Redshift data warehouse. As a Data Scientist from August 2019 to July 2021, Chris built and operationalized a churn prediction model using XGBoost and developed a customizable search ranking algorithm for the website's listings.

Chris's current role is as a Machine Learning Engineer at Wurl, which they started in July 2021.

Chris Kopel attended the University of Denver from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics. In 2014, Chris also had a study abroad experience at the University of Glasgow. Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications, including "Machine Learning by Stanford University" from Coursera in July 2017 and "Microsoft Office Specialist" from Microsoft. They also completed the "R Tutorial on Machine Learning" from DataCamp.
