Senior Research Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies

Battuya Bayarmagnai, PhD, has extensive work experience in various research roles. Currently, they work as a Research Scientist- Analytical Development at WuXi Advanced Therapies where they are responsible for developing analytical measures to assess the purity and concentration of cell and gene therapy drug products and raw materials. They also design and execute R&D studies, review and interpret data, author scientific reports, and oversee the laboratory operations. In their previous role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Temple University College of Engineering, they focused on their research and academic development from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they contributed to research projects from 2008 to 2015. Their early research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the University of Wyoming, where they conducted gene sequencing of spider web glue and conducted field surveys on the population distribution of the pygmy rabbit species.

Battuya Bayarmagnai, PhD, completed their education in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. From 2004 to 2008, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2008 to 2015, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.
