Seiga Ohmine

Seiga Ohmine has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Starting with WuXi Advanced Therapies in 2023, Seiga served as the Global Head of Technical Sales. Prior to that role, Seiga worked as a Biotech/Biodevice Consultant at JSO TransPacific, LLC starting in 2003. From 2021 to 2023, Seiga held the position of Executive Director & US Head of Business Development Biologics and CGT at Pharmaron. Before that, Seiga served as the Vice President of APAC Commercial and Global Distribution at Eurofins Discovery from 2019 to 2021. Seiga also worked at Eurofins Pharma Discovery Services as the Head of Asia Pacific Marketing and Business Development from 2018 to 2019 and as Senior Director of Asia Pacific Business Development from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, Seiga held various roles at DiscoveRx, including Director of Asia Pacific Commercial Operations, Senior Manager of Japan Operations, Business Manager of Japan, and Technical Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific. Seiga also worked at Mayo Clinic as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2010 to 2012 and as a Siebens Foundation Ph.D. Fellow from 2005 to 2010, focusing on molecular characterization, safety assessment for stem cell applications, and gene therapy engineering.

Seiga Ohmine holds a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in Virology and Gene Therapy, which was received from Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences between 2005 and 2010. Prior to that, Seiga Ohmine completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University, spanning from 2003 to 2005.
