Margo Swerts

Margo Swerts has extensive experience in mobility planning and traffic management, currently serving as an Expert mobiliteit at WVI since August 2003, focusing on municipal mobility plans, regional mobility vision for the Westhoek region, and sustainable transportation research. Margo also leads the development of a knowledge platform for public lighting in West Flanders, collaborating with various organizations to foster knowledge exchange and explore new technologies. Prior roles include serving as a Stafmedewerker mobiliteit en verkeer at VVSG, a GIS Specialist, and a GIS Coordinator at Stad Gent, alongside academic contributions as an Assistent and doctorandus at KU Leuven. Margo holds a degree in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, completed between 1989 and 1994.
