Saskia Verriest

Saskia Verriest has extensive experience in public administration and regional collaboration, currently serving as the Algemeen directeur of DVV Midwest since December 2019, where the focus is on strengthening partnerships within the region. Prior roles include coordination and expertise positions with WVI and the Midwestoverleg since November 2008, contributing to intermunicipal cooperation among 17 mayors in Midden-West-Vlaanderen. Previous experience includes roles as secretary in various organizations including DVV Midwest, Hulpverleningszone Midwest, and Prezone Midwest, as well as serving as adjunct director at OVAM. Academically, Saskia Verriest holds two master's degrees in Environmental Sciences and technology, and in Biology from UGent, supplemented by training at Syntra West.
