Arouj Haider

Arouj Haider is an experienced professional in editorial and writing support roles. Currently serving in the Biology Editorial department at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. since September 2018, Arouj has a background that includes working at the BMCC Writing Center from February 2014 to June 2015, where support was provided to students and faculty in developing writing skills. Arouj also held positions as a Project Leader at Amnesty International, focusing on global human rights information from July 2012 to November 2013, and at Richard House Children's Hospice, managing fundraising initiatives from January 2012 to June 2012. Earlier experience includes retail work at Burton, Inc. Men's Clothing from September 2009 to June 2011. Arouj holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, Journalism, and Publishing from City College of New York and an AA in Writing and Literature from the Borough of Manhattan Community College.
