Youngtae Choi

Youngtae Choi has over 15 years of work experience in the software engineering and data science fields. Youngtae began their career in 2006 as a Software Developer for Miracom Inc., where they developed a process modeling tool and server modules with Java. In 2009, they moved to SK holdings C&C as a Research Engineer, developing Requirement Management tool and UML modeling tool. In 2011, they joined NAVER Corp as a Senior Software Engineer, developing Search and Recommendation projects. In 2014, they worked as an NLP Engineer for Maluuba, developing a query-understanding model with Deep Learning and NLP Dialogue systems for LGVoice. In 2017, they joined Sears Canada as a Data Scientist, developing a Product Similarity model for text data and images using deep learning models and analyzing and predicting the shipping cost and free shipping effects on sales. Since 2021, they have been the Director of Research & Product Development at Wysdom.AI, where they were previously a Team Lead for the NLP & Backend teams.

Youngtae Choi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Soongsil University in 2004 and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university in 2006.
