Karen Chan

Karen Chan has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Karen began their career in 2001 as a Senior Integration Specialist at VirtualThere. In 2003, they joined Bitfone as Director of Technology, where they were part of the team that pioneered and patented firmware over-the-air (FOTA) upgrade technology for mobile phones. In 2006, they moved to Locus Systems Inc. as a Senior Technical Consultant, where they worked with BEA WLS 9, BEA WLI 9, BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), IBM WebSphere 6.1, Oracle 10g, Java J2EE, ESRI ArcIMS 9.2, MS SQL, Web Services, BEA WebLogic, Oracle 10g, MS Access, MS VBA, Oracle Developer, IBM WSAD, and Toad. In 2010, they were appointed as VP, Project Management Office at Storage Appliance Corp., where they were responsible for defining the Product Roadmap and overseeing the product lifecycle of the entire Clickfree product line. In 2012, they joined Wysdom.AI as Chief Engineering Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Karen Chan has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they obtained between 1990 and 1994. Karen also has several certifications, including Azure AI Fundamentals from Microsoft (obtained in July 2021), Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft (obtained in June 2021), Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer from Google (obtained in April 2022), BEA Certified Developer, Portal Solution for 8.1, Certified Open Text Business Consultant, Certified PowerBuilder Developer 4.0 (Associate), Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform 1.4, and Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition.
