Gabriel Lopes

Gabriel Lopes is an accomplished expert in control and simulation, currently serving as Control & Simulation Chief Scientist at X Laboratory since June 2020. Prior to this role, Gabriel held positions as Senior AI Engineer at Caspar.AI and Principal Scientist at RRC Robotics. Experience includes serving as Senior Robotics Engineer at Robot Care Systems bv and as an Assistant Professor and post-doctoral fellow at Delft University of Technology. In addition, Gabriel was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan, where also earned a Master of Science degree. Gabriel's academic background includes a Licentiate degree in Aerospace from Instituto Superior Técnico.
