About X-Lab
X-Lab has been around since 2006 but it is the last few years in which we have seen our most dramatic changes and growth.
Our core product, Labgnostic, is a service which connects almost 200 diagnostic organisations (primarily pathology labs) together across the UK, US and Australia for lab-to-lab referral testing. Labgnostic is the market leader in the UK and was the data infrastructure for the UK’s national COVID-19 testing response which saw the service process more than 300 million COVID-19 results for UK citizens.
Over the past few years we’ve further expanded our portfolio to include LabReach, a system through which clinicians can order tests, and LabgnosticEQA, which supports lab quality assurance.
Ultimately, our vision is to be the leader in connecting the world's diagnostic systems to improve healthcare for all.
X-Lab’s head office is in Leeds, with shared office space in London, but our team is distributed across the UK. We’re a remote-first organisation and believe in the flexibility to work in a way that supports your lifestyle, with many of our team choosing to work from one of our offices a few times a week and at home on other days. While our team live in lots of different locations, we get together regularly as a company, and within our teams, to socialise and encourage the warm and friendly culture which sits at the heart of X-Lab.
