Position: Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation

Location: Bengaluru, India (In-Office Role)

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with team members (developers, product manager) to develop, test and deliver high quality products.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Troubleshoot issues and bugs discovered in testing to help determine root cause.
• Set up, maintain, and support testing environments for automated and manual testing for both the QA and software development environments.
• Reproduce issues discovered in production using the test environments in order to help identify issues, determine root cause and formulate solutions.
• Communicate bugs with feature owners or developers and follow up with the development team on the status of open bugs.
• Be proactive in holding the development team accountable for prioritizing and closing bugs on time.
• Ability to self-manage, show leadership, good analytical skills and communicate well.
• Automated tests should be integrated into the CI/CD pipeline, triggered on code commits, builds, and deployments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 3 years of experience in developing Software.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in automation testing and development using selenium/cypress in either Python/Java.
• Should understand different kinds of testing methodologies such as Smoke, Regression, Integration testing etc.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively test applications independently.
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
• Extensive knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and performance tools like JMeter and Postman.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and Test design.

Nice to have:

• Have hands-on experience with developing automation in a distributed systems environment.
• Have hands-on experience with Load/Performance testing.
• Have hands-on experience with B2B Products.
