Anju Patwardhan

Independent Non-executive Director at Xapo Bank

Anju Patwardhan has extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. Anju is currently serving as an Independent Non-Executive Board Director for Xapo Bank, a regulated bank that offers accounts in both USD and BTC. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Global Advisory Council at Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute and served as the Managing Director of CE Innovation Capital in both Singapore and the San Francisco Bay Area. In their role at CE Innovation Capital, they successfully invested in numerous FinTech companies. Anju also held positions as an Independent Non-Executive Board Director at Upgrade, Inc., a licensed banking institution in the US, and as a Nominee of Public Investment Fund on the Board of GIB. Additionally, they served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Gulf International Bank. Anju Patwardhan is also actively involved in various organizations, including the World Economic Forum, where they have been a member of multiple impact circles and served on the steering committee for disruptive innovation in financial services. Anju was also a part of the inaugural Global Future Council on Blockchain/DLT. Furthermore, they are a SUSS Fellow at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and a Co-Founder of the Financial Inclusion Institute. Patwardhan's work experience demonstrates their expertise in finance, technology, and strategic advisory roles.

Anju Patwardhan obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Anju also completed a one-year Fulbright Fellowship and Visiting Scholar program at Stanford University, focusing on Fintech and Financial Inclusion. Anju Patwardhan further pursued their education at Stanford University as a Fellow in the Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI). In addition to their formal education, they hold certifications such as the SMU-SID Diploma in Directorship from Singapore Management University, the How Remarkable Women Lead program from McKinsey & Company, and is a Certified Docent from the Singapore Art Museum.
