Brian Anderson

Brian Anderson is an experienced attorney currently serving as General Counsel at Xcoal Energy & Resources since June 2023. Prior to this role, Brian was Assistant General Counsel at CNX from October 2020 to June 2023, where responsibilities included advising on corporate law matters and assisting with board governance. Brian also held the position of Senior Counsel for Chevron's Appalachian Mountain Business Unit from December 2011 to October 2020, focusing on complex commercial agreements within the upstream shale gas sector. Earlier in Brian's career, from September 2005 to December 2011, Brian practiced as a Trial Attorney at K&L Gates, specializing in complex commercial litigation. Brian holds a Juris Doctor degree from West Virginia University (2002-2005) and a Bachelor of Science in Business (Accounting) from the same institution (1998-2002).
