James Williams

James Williams has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. James started their career as an Industrial Placement at Siemens in 1991 and 1993. James later worked as a Commercial Analyst and a Technical Training Instructor at Siemens Communication Systems Limited from 1995 to 1998.

In 1998, they joined Xura as a Senior Technical Training Instructor and eventually became a Business Development Manager until 2009. During this time, they set up the EMEA Training operation, managed the development of customer training material, and recruited a training team.

In 2009, James worked as a Sales Manager at VeriSign and later joined Syniverse Technologies as a Global Connectivity Manager, where they managed relationships with partner companies and led the reach expansion program for their largest messaging customer.

From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Global Carrier Business Development professional at mBlox, sourcing quality SMS termination routes and representing the company's interests at industry events.

In 2013, James became a Management Consultant at MrConnectivity, specializing in business development and customer experience. James provided services such as building mobile engagement solutions, developing pricing models, and conducting motivational workshops.

In 2021, they joined the Mobile Ecosystem Forum as a Director of Programmes, focusing on promoting telecommunications as a means for positive change globally.

Currently, James is the Vice President of Business Development at XConnect, where they deliver carrier-grade services to global communication service providers and plays an active role in industry forums and associations.
