Georgette Alexander-Morrison

VP, Capture & Proposal Management at XENERGY

Georgette Alexander-Morrison leads X-energy’s Capture and Proposal Management efforts. With her demonstrated leadership skills, Georgette is organizing, refining, and executing business proposal processes, leading key pursuits and responses, and developing staff for capture and proposal leadership roles. Her specific focus is on strategic capture, pursuit planning, and proposal execution. She has over 25 years of business development, capture, and proposal management experience primarily in aerospace systems and engineering services, but now also in nuclear systems.

Prior to her current position, Georgette served as the Vice President for X-energy’s Space Programs leading the formulation and implementation of X-energy’s space programs portfolio of US Government contracts/grants and establish a pipeline of space contract opportunities. In June 2021, the Intuitive Machines and X-energy Joint Venture won one of three DOE/NASA awards to perform Phase 1 Studies for the Fission Surface Power (FSP) project. Georgette has over 35+ years’ experience in civil space, private industry, space and defense hardware, and NASA services. She established and developed a dedicated business development group (grew from 3 to 7 full time staff over 10+ years). The group successfully grew company division from $50M annual sales to $220M annual sales – over $1B in new awards. Early career focused on materials science and metallurgy including 3 years at Fairchild Space and 5 years with DOE development projects at Y-12 Facility and ORNL (Oak Ridge TN).

She holds a BS with High Honors in Material Sciences and Engineering (Metallurgy) from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL), and a MS in Industrial Engineering (Engineering Management) from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN). Her credentials also include continuing education in proposal management, capture management, business development, and government contracting. Georgette holds a DoD Secret Clearance.

Georgette volunteers for the Maryland Space Business Roundtable (MSBR) Board of Directors (2014-2017, 2019 – present) including leading an annual fund-raiser raffle for MSBR’s sponsorship of Maryland high school STEM projects. She served as a volunteer for NASA’s Girls Nights In at GSFC and Girls Night at WFF, as a speaker for Girls Get Science, and serves as a Sunday School teacher (St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Bethesda, MD). She served as a Co-Manager of the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2007-2012 and was lucky enough to serve as a chaperone for 80 high school musicians on a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia to perform with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (2011).

She is a member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, American Astronautical Society, Nuclear Energy Institute, American Nuclear Society, Women in Aerospace, and Women in Nuclear. Honorary: Tau Beta Pi, Alpha Sigma Mu, Omicron Delta Kappa.
