Taylor Kessel has a diverse work experience in the legal field. From 2005 to 2007, Kessel worked as an Associate Attorney at deBeaubien, Knight, et al, a prominent law firm in Central Florida. They then moved on to become a Corporate Counsel at CNL Lifestyle Company, LLC from 2007 to 2011, where they advised CNL Lifestyle Properties, a real estate investment trust. In 2011, Kessel joined Ruth's Hospitality Group, Inc. as a Corporate Counsel, working with the Ruth's Chris Steak House brand. Finally, since 2015, Kessel has been with Xenia Hotels & Resorts, Inc., initially as a Vice President - Corporate Counsel & Secretary, and later as the Senior Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary. Xenia Hotels & Resorts is a publicly traded lodging REIT that owns a diverse portfolio of high-quality lodging properties.
Taylor Kessel earned a B.S. in Management from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business between 1997 and 2001. Taylor then pursued a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law, completing it from 2002 to 2004. In addition, Taylor obtained a Masters degree in Real Estate & Urban Analysis from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, which was earned between 2003 and 2005. Taylor has also obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Corporate Governance ProfessionalTM from the Society for Corporate Governance, obtained in January 2021, a RIMS Professional Member from RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.), obtained in November 2018, and a Certified Diligent Administrator from Diligent Corporation, obtained in February 2015.
