As a member of our Finance System team, your role entails gaining profound insight into our Finance systems and operational landscape. Collaborating closely with fellow System Accountants, your primary responsibility is to address daily system administration tasks while aiding in optimising Xero's utilisation of our Finance systems and associated operational workflows.
Fostering robust connections throughout the organisation, spanning geographies, you will serve as a dependable advisor and mentor, particularly for the Finance team, offering guidance and support. With a keen understanding of business requirements, you will prioritise tasks, determine minimum value, and assist the team in planning, delivering, and operating effectively.
Furthermore, you will engage closely with vendors and other third parties providing and supporting our solutions. Your proficiency in managing fast-paced projects, adapting to changing priorities, and your ability to dissect complex problems to deliver tangible business outcomes will be instrumental in your role.

Experience
2+ years experience in Finance System administration, configuration and development (eg creating and implementing workflows, scripts, saved searches, integrations),particularly ERP, Payroll, and AP systems (Netsuite, Esker, Expensify or Blackline experience favorable).
Accounting knowledge or experience.
Skilled in developing and executing testing plans, with a focus on documenting results.
Experience of driving consistent results within a cross functional team across multiple systems and projects
Critical Competencies
Expert verbal and written communicator with the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of systems and information models is critical.
Strong planning, organisational and self-management skills with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
