Rong Chen

Rong Chen has had extensive work experience in the insurance industry, primarily in property risk management. Rong began their career at RSA in 1997, where they worked as an International Graduate Trainee in Property & Casualty. Rong then served as an Underwriter in Property and Risk Management at RSA until 2002. Rong joined Commonwealth Insurance Company in 2002 as a Senior Underwriter in Property. Rong later moved to Northbridge Financial Corporation in 2005 and worked as an Assistant Manager in the Property Division until 2009. From 2009 to 2016, Rong worked at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty as the Head of Property for Canada. Rong then joined Chubb North America in 2016 as a Major Accounts, Property. Rong's most recent roles were at XL Catlin, where they served as the Vice President of Property Risk Management from 2017, and later at AXA XL, a division of AXA, where they held the same role as Vice President of Property Risk Management from 2018.

Rong Chen's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from Shanghai University, obtained from the Shanghai Institute of International Business (SIBI) between 1988 and 1992. In addition, Rong Chen holds a Master's degree in International Business (MIB) from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen, Norway, earned between 1993 and 1995. Rong Chen also obtained a Siviløkonom (M.Sc) degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) between 1995 and 1997. Furthermore, Rong Chen holds additional certifications as a Fellow Charted Insurance Professional (FCIP) and a Fellow Risk Management (FRM).
