Jeroen Janssens

Jeroen Janssens has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data science. Jeroen is currently working as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia, a company that specializes in machine learning. Prior to this, Jeroen worked as an Author at O'Reilly Media, where they wrote a book called "Data Science at the Command Line". Jeroen also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at the University of Amsterdam and as an Organizer and Master of Ceremonies at the Data Science NL Meetup. Jeroen has a background in education as well, having worked as a Founder and Educator at Data Science Workshops, where they provided training and coaching in various data science subjects. Jeroen also served as an Assistant Professor of Data Science at Jheronimus Academy of Data Science and as a Ph.D. student at Tilburg University. Additionally, Jeroen has industry experience, working as a Lead Data Scientist at Elsevier, a Senior Data Scientist at YPlan, and a Data Scientist at Outbrain. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in various aspects of data science, including machine learning, programming, and data visualization.

Jeroen Janssens has a strong educational background in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Life Sciences. In 2003, Janssens began their undergraduate studies at University College Maastricht, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Life Sciences in 2006. Jeroen continued their education at Maastricht University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree with honors in Artificial Intelligence in 2007. Additionally, Janssens briefly studied Computer Science at the University of Adelaide during the academic year 2005-2006.
