Swarup De, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science and statistics. Swarup is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Xoriant, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Technical Architect at Xoriant from April 2021 to March 2022, and as a Senior Technical Lead from September 2018 to April 2021.

Before joining Xoriant, Swarup worked as an Analytical Consultant at SAS Research & Development (India) Pvt. Ltd. from July 2011 to September 2018. Swarup also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistics at Texas A&M University from August 2009 to June 2011.

Swarup's academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. from The Open University, where they conducted research from October 2005 to August 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Database Research Assistant at Bridgetree Research Services Pvt. Ltd. from March 2005 to August 2005.

Swarup began their career as a Lecturer in Statistics at both Basanti Devi College and Behala College from April 2004 to February 2005. Swarup also worked as a Research Assistant at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata from August 2002 to March 2004, and as a Research Analyst at Sankalpo Trust, an NGO, from December 2001 to June 2002.

Swarup De, PhD, holds a Postdoctoral Fellow position at Texas A&M University. Swarup completed their Ph.D. in Statistics at The Open University from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned their M.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Calcutta in India from 1999 to 2001. Swarup De began their education by obtaining their B.Sc. in Statistics (Major) from the University of Calcutta in India, which they completed from 1996 to 1999.
