William "Scott" Zion

William "Scott" Zion has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. William "Scott" currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Xos Trucks since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director at Xos Trucks from September 2021 to March 2022.

From 2015 to 2021, Zion worked at Hino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc. in multiple roles. William "Scott" served as the General Manager from April 2021 to September 2021, Assistant General Manager in R&D from April 2019 to April 2021, and Manager in R&D from June 2015 to April 2019.

Before that, Zion worked at Navistar Defense LLC from 2012 to 2015. William "Scott" held the position of Chief Engineer for the MaxxPro Family of Vehicles and was responsible for various engineering teams, CAD designers, configuration management, and mechanics.

From 2010 to 2012, Zion worked at Navistar Defense, LLC as the STS Chief Engineer for the MaxxPro Family of Vehicles. William "Scott" led a team in the design and validation of the MaxxPro Dash DXM Ambulance, among other responsibilities.

William "Scott" Zion pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, specializing in Aerospace and Lightweight Structures. This educational endeavor took place between 1986 and 1990. Following this, they enrolled at Wayne State University from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Management.
