Jamie M Buss has a diverse range of work experience. From 2015, Jamie worked as a Business and Data Analyst at XPAND Corporation, where they were responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements and analyzing data to improve a career exploration website. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2015, Jamie worked as a Business Analyst and Data Analyst at CareerOneStop, gathering and analyzing requirements for website development and researching technology trends.
From 2011 to 2013, Jamie worked at iSeek Solutions as a Project Manager and Analyst, offering consulting services to community colleges to enhance their healthcare training programs and career exploration tools. They also managed projects to create industry-specific career websites in manufacturing, energy, and healthcare.
Before that, Jamie worked as a Consultant for MN State Colleges & Universities, where their work overlapped with their role at iSeek Solutions. From 2004 to 2011, Jamie operated their own consulting business called Jamie Buss Consulting LLC, where they provided project management, business analysis, writing, research, and outreach services to foundations, non-profits, and state agencies.
Jamie also has experience as a Consultant for the Minnesota Board on Aging, where they developed information-and-assistance programs and coordinated a team for a website release, as well as for Transit for Livable Communities, conducting surveys and data analysis.
Additionally, Jamie has experience in program development and website management for Payne-Lake Community Partners, and as an Engineering Project Manager at Stellent. They also founded and operated their own consulting and training business called Computing as a Second Language from 1990 to 1999.
Jamie M Buss has a strong educational background in the field of public administration and political science. They first attended Cornell University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science (Government). Later, they pursued further education at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, earning a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on economic and community development and advanced policy analysis. In 2003, Jamie began their studies at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Master of Public Affairs degree, specializing in community and economic development and policy analysis.
