Vijay Shanmugam

Vijay Shanmugam has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to present. Vijay started their career as a Project Manager at everse in 2002, where they managed project deliveries for Fortune 500 clients and developed solutions using a variety of tech architectures/frameworks. In 2005, they co-founded Sanchaya, a vineyard and winery to explore the growing and blending of unique grape varietals from various wine regions of the world. In 2008, they became the Managing Director at Guidance where they led the development of a social network for musicians to collaborate and create masterclasses for their audience. Vijay also advised various retail clients on ecommerce solutions and was responsible for P&L and revenue. In 2010, they became a Product Manager at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies, where they led e-commerce and social commerce initiatives, primarily managing the product roadmap and execution of those initiatives. Vijay also architected and implemented the first social theater on Facebook. In 2015, they founded xpolinate and in 2018, they co-founded Komunity, a platform where professionals connect, collaborate, and help each other. Vijay is also creating the first personal board of advisors for professionals and helping underrepresented populations.

Vijay Shanmugam holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Management from Creighton University.
