Michael Birnbach

Michael Birnbach currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at XPRIZE, overseeing finance and accounting for the non-profit organization dedicated to solving global challenges. With extensive experience in finance and operations, Michael has held key leadership roles at Common Crawl, where responsibilities include managing financial operations to support open access to web information. As the Founder and Principal of Owners Representative, Michael effectively represents owners' interests in diverse construction projects across major U.S. cities. Additionally, as Managing Director for a private family office, supervision of budgeting, maintenance, and corporate structures is managed. Significant past roles include Senior Vice President of Finance & Treasurer at InMarket and Factual, and Co-Founder of The P&F Group. Michael began a career in finance as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Oppenheimer & Co. Michael holds a BS in Economics from Chapman University.
