Amir Aref

VP, Translational Sciences at Xsphera Biosciences

Dr. Amir Aref is the Vice President of Translational Sciences at Xsphera Biosciences. Prior to joining Xsphera, Dr. Aref was a Lead/Scientist at the Belfer Center for Applied Cancer Science at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Amir was also a Research Fellow at Dana-Farber from 2011-2015 and a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT from 2009-2011, where they developed and validated 3D-microenvironment devices for assaying EMT-blocking agents in human lung cancer cells. Dr. Aref obtained their PhD from Cranfield University in 2008.

Aref received a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Bioengineering from Cranfield University. Amir then went on to earn a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from Coventry University. Aref is currently a Research Student at Chalmers University of Technology, studying Theoretical Chemistry.

Amir Aref reports to Steve Remondi, CEO & Founder. They work with Kevin Horrigan - VP, Software & Operations, Mike Perricone - CSO, Co-Founder, and Russ Jenkins - SAB, Principal Founder.
