Beechui (Katy) Koo

Beechui (Katy) Koo has a diverse range of work experience. Beechui (Katy) began their career as an undergraduate research assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, where they worked on research involving the cell response to viral infection. Beechui (Katy) utilized various techniques such as molecular cloning, cell culture, and fluorescence microscopy. In 2020, they became a General Assembly Immersive Student, where they worked on projects including the development of the Bookend app using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and React. Beechui (Katy)'smost recent position is as a Software Engineer at Xsphera Biosciences Inc, which they started in 2021.

Beechui (Katy) Koo began their education journey at Western Reserve Academy from 2013 to 2017. Upon completion of their high school education, they enrolled at Boston College. From 2017 to 2021, Beechui pursued a Bachelor's degree with a dual focus in Computer Science and Biology. In 2020, they also attended General Assembly for a Software Immersive Program.
