Mike Freeman has worked in the IT industry since 1993. Mike'sfirst role was as a Software Architect for Loral Federal Systems, where they were responsible for developing a UNIX-based, client-server MIS system for the US Army. In 1995, they took on the role of Application/API Development Lead for IBM infoMarket. From 1998 to 2002, they worked as an IT Architect for Engenia Software. During this time, they also worked as a J2EE Application Architect for IBM, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of multiple high-profile J2EE applications. In 2012, they returned to Xtivia as a Senior Enterprise Portal Developer, where they supported the development of a Liferay portal solution for a large provider of online media and learning resources. In 2013, they took on two roles; Software Dev Sr. Engineer at Dell and Enterprise Solutions Architect & Full Stack Developer at Xtivia. In their role at Xtivia, they were the architect/creator of the company's primary tool for rapid generation of Angular, React and Vue portlets, and was the team lead and solution architect on multiple successful Liferay EE/DXP client engagements. Mike also architected and developed a special NodeJS-based REST application used by a Fortune 500 Learning Management Software client.

Mike Freeman attended Mississippi State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
