Bastien Botrel

Bastien Botrel has been working in the field of biostatistics since 2008. In 2008, they started as a Biostatistics Intern at the Association pour le Dépistage des Cancers (ADEC29), where they performed descriptive analysis of data from breast cancer screening campaigns. In 2009, they were a Data Management Intern at sanofi-aventis, and in 2010 they were a Data Management Intern at LINCOLN. In 2011, they were a Biostatistics Intern at the Institut Bergonié, and in 2012 they were a Biostatistics Intern at Sépia-Santé, where they worked on an epidemiological study aimed at assessing respiratory risks on the laying hen farmers. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at INFERENTIAL as a Biostatistician, where they wrote Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP) and interpreted results and wrote statistical reports for studies in neurology, psychiatry, gynecology, dermatology, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and rheumatology. In 2017, they worked at Ablynx as a Biostatistician Consultant, where they oversaw biostatistical activities conducted by CROs and wrote and reviewed Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP). From 2018 to 2022, they worked at IQVIA France as a Biostatistician, where they were the Statistical Team Leader and coordinated and issued all project deliverables to the customer. Currently, Bastien Botrel is a Computer Vision Engineer and Artificial Intelligence Intern at XXII, where they are working on the problem of image retrieval (find images similar to a query image) using Python IDE PyCharm and the Linux operating system.
