Florian Gester

Florian Gester has over 15 years of work experience. From 2007 to 2014, they were a Freight Forwarder for break bulk and heavy lift transportation at Deutsche Binnenreederei AG. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Supervisor Fleet Logistics Europe at car2go Group GmbH, where they were responsible for EU wide vehicle logistics, up-fitting, location supply and leasing return processes. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Fleet Manager at UMI Urban Mobility International GmbH, where they supported the launch of the first 1,500 e-Golf fleet. From 2019 to 2020, they were an Operations Manager at Daimler Mobility Services GmbH, where they set up operations in Berlin for product development and in-vehicle app testing. Currently, they are an Operations Manager at Argo AI, where they are building the team of Map Managers and Vehicle Operators in Germany, defining requirements for map feature development and improvement, managing priorities and resources within fleet operations, and working closely with the internal training team to improve training material, channel information and create content to improve training programs. Florian is also graduating the Argo Safety Driver and Test Manager training in Pittsburgh as a baseline for adjusting training programs in Germany, improving hiring quality for Vehicle Operators, and aligning test track capabilities.

Florian Gester has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Betriebswirtschaft from Technische Hochschule Wildau, which they earned between 2011 and 2015. Florian also studied International Management at Zhejiang Gongshang University in 2014. Finally, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Internationales Projektmanagement from Technische Hochschule Wildau between 2015 and 2017.
