Philip Lessner

Philip Lessner, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and materials science. Philip served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at YAGEO Group starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at KEMET Electronics Corporation, including Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Tantalum Capacitor Technology, and Director of Technical Marketing, among others. Before KEMET, they worked at Parker Chomerics as Manager of Materials and Testing and Senior Scientist, and at Giner, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Their experience includes overseeing technical direction, product development, acquisitions, and global business expansions.

Philip Lessner, Ph.D obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in ChE from Cooper Union in 1980. Philip then went on to earn their Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986.
