Margaret McGovern

Margaret McGovern is an accomplished healthcare executive currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive at Yale New Haven Health since December 2022, while also holding the position of Deputy Dean for Clinical Affairs and CEO of Yale Medicine since June 2022. Prior to these roles, Margaret held significant positions at Stony Brook Medicine, including Dean for Clinical Affairs and Vice President of Clinical Programs, and served as the Associate Dean for Ambulatory Operations. Additionally, Margaret was the Knapp Professor of Pediatrics and Professor and Chair of Pediatrics at Stony Brook University, as well as Physician in Chief at Stony Brook Children's. Margaret's long-standing academic career began at Mount Sinai Health System as a Professor of Genetics and Pediatrics. Educationally, Margaret obtained an MD and PhD in Medicine and Genetics from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, following a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Stony Brook University.
