Carlos Valladares is a seasoned film curator and writer with a diverse experience in cinema, having served as the Curator for Films at the Whitney at Yale University since January 2022. Valladares also writes a film column for Gagosian Quarterly and previously penned a weekly column focused on streaming films for the San Francisco Chronicle. With contributions to Film Comment and editorial leadership roles at Stanford University's research journal, Valladares combines a robust academic background with practical experience, holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Stanford University and currently pursuing a PhD in History of Art and Film and Media Studies at Yale University.
