Vitalii Gridnev

Vitalii Gridnev is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in open-source database technologies and cloud services. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead at YDB since May 2022, Vitalii specializes in high availability and scalability for Distributed SQL databases, focusing on specification generation, active development, and project maintenance. Prior to this, Vitalii worked at Yandex from June 2017, holding roles from Software Engineer to Staff Software Engineer while contributing to the same YDB team. At Mirantis, from June 2014 to June 2017, Vitalii was instrumental in the development and management of the OpenStack Sahara project, focusing on big data cluster management. Vitalii holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, earned in 2015.
