Ryan Jales has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Ryan is currently working at Yellow Card App as a Lead UX Content & Research Strategist, where they focus on writing a finance app for users in Africa and validating design choices with them. Prior to this, they worked at Luno as a Senior UX Writer and User Experience Writer, contributing to the development of user-friendly interfaces. Ryan also worked as a Senior Copywriter at iKineo, where they emphasized the importance of storytelling in various contexts. Additionally, Ryan has experience as a Communications Editor at Strika Entertainment and as a Copywriter at ETV. Ryan started their career as a Drama tutor at the University of Cape Town. In 2004, Ryan was part of the ImproGuise improv team, entertaining audiences with spontaneous and interactive performances. Overall, Ryan Jales brings a wealth of experience in content creation, user experience, and communication to their professional endeavors.

Ryan Jales completed their education in a chronological order. From 2000 to 2003, they attended the University of Cape Town where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General. Later, from 2004 to 2005, they pursued an Honours Degree in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts, General from the same university.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Jales has also obtained additional certifications. In October 2008, they completed a Copywriting Portfolio Module from the AAA School of Advertising. More recently, in March 2020, they accomplished a certification in UX Writing Fundamentals from the UX Writers Collective.
