Eric Newcomer has extensive experience in education, primarily within the YES Prep Public Schools network since 2008, where roles have included Head of Schools, Lead Principal, and Principal. Prior to this, Eric served as a 5th and 6th Grade English Teacher at Cloud Forest School from 2017 to 2018 and held various positions including Principal and Middle School Dean of Students at YES Prep from 2008 to 2017. Early career positions included teaching roles in English and French at several educational institutions such as KIPP Austin College Prep, IDEA Public Schools, and Sharyland High School. Eric is well-educated, holding a Master of Arts in The Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Xavier University.
