SILKE MADDOX has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2005 with a role as a German Localization Tester at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. In 2006, they began working as a Self-Employed English to German Translator and Copywriter. In 2007, they took a role as a Foreign News Editor at KVH Media Group. In 2011, they became an EFL teacher at Liverpool International Language Academy. In 2012, they took a role as an English Second Language Teacher at Chiang Mai University. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Team Manager, Project Manager, and German Translations specialist at YLT Translations.
SILKE MADDOX has a diverse educational background. In 2005-2006, they obtained a Master of Arts in Translation Studies from The University of Manchester. In 2011, they completed a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge. Finally, from 2001-2004, they obtained a BA Hons in English and American Studies and Economic and Social Geography from the University of Bayreuth.
